We bought this house on a whim and stayed for 29 years!
We just happened to be passing the development and thought we'd call in to have a look around the show home. We were so impressed with the build quality, we bought off-plan and wrote out a cheque (remember those) for the deposit before we left. We believe in quality, so we hope whoever purchases this house will continue to appreciate the quality of the changes we've made over the years, all of which were made with usability, storage space, low maintenance and longevity in mind.
The three double bedrooms are light and spacious; there is a fantastic en-suite to the master and the fourth room (originally our son’s nursery) is perfect for working from home. The neighbours have always been very friendly, with occasional street BBQs and other social gatherings. Our son has enjoyed growing up here, playing with his friends in the street, the park and in the surrounding open spaces. We will be sad to be leaving this house and the village, but a new life awaits on the other side of the country

We really, really like this house. The current owners have been very clever in how they've made this house work. Downstairs you've got a nice big entrance hall and a downstairs loo as you'd expect, then that opens into the big lounge with a massive bay window. Beyond that is the kitchen/dining space that spans the full width of the house. The kitchen spec is to die for with granite worktops and Miele appliances, and that leads onto the conservatory with a nice raised decking area taking you into the garden. Thanks to clever door placement, each room can be closed off separately, or the whole lot can be opened into one big open plan space depending on your mood. Upstairs is just as great, with four double bedrooms and two bathrooms, one being an en-suite to the main bedroom, and both bathrooms with a high standard of finish in line with the kitchen. You've got driveway parking and a garage, and all this with no onward chain complications!

This is a wonderful spot and there's a handy cut-through to The Stree where you'll find The Crown pub, a play park and a convenience store with a post office. Reading is around 8 miles away, you're on the fringes of Hampshire and there's also great access into Wokingham as well as the neighboring villages of Risley & Farley Hill. With a semi-rural feel, it's no surprise that the current owners love the amount of abundant greenspace and countryside on the doorstep to explore, as well as places like Wellington Country Park being only 5 mins away by car. Access to both the M3 & M4 motorway networks from here is also excellent.
