We have lived in shinfield for over 30 years . On a quite private square . With no through access , friendly neighbourhood with ample parking and a safe place for children to play, easy walking distance to the village schools, shop, sports facilities and footpaths to lovely countryside walks, easy access to major road, rail and bus routes. The village has just been updated with fibre broadband excellent for home / business use.
Oatlands road has been a wonderful home to bring up our 4 children, plenty of space for friends and families to stay . Lovely garden and sunroom for Great parties.

Homes like this don't come around very often, as show by how few people actually sell and move from the road! The house itself has tonnes of space with three reception rooms downstairs, plus a kitchen/dining room. What is great is the way you could chop and change the space and use it to how it fits you! You are blessed with a big utility room and downstairs bathroom. There are also two double bedrooms and a lovely modern bathroom down here. Upstairs has two huge double bedrooms, a really nice shower room, and an office all sprawling off the landing space. The office is semi-open onto the landing, but this could easily be closed off to create a more private space like a nursery or dressing room etc. The outside space is quite special here too - the garden is lovely and low maintenance with plenty of patio and grass to enjoy. There is two storage sheds, the larger of which could easily be converted into a home office if you wanted. There's also a garage and a utility room to round things off. We can't skip over the parking however... there's a pretty big driveway as you'd expect of a house this size, but there's also an extra driveway behind gates that runs behind the house and into the garden - we think it's perfect if you've got a camper van, a special weekend car or even a boat!

Oatlands Road is set in the heart of Shinfiled, arguably one of the most desirable spots in the village, proven by how long people stay here. Everything you need is within walking distance, from local shops and pubs, to access to Langly Mead Nature Reserve. There are some well regarded schools nearby as well. If its commuting you're after, then junction 11 of the M4 is a 5-minute drive, as well as bus routes into Reading town and Wokingham. Putting this all together, along with the safe area and private feel, you won't want to move for a long time.
