This is one of the three Regency houses built, facing west, on to Carlyle Square. The house has not been available for sale in over fifty years and is beautifully arranged, with many of the original features remaining. At the rear is a pretty garden, laid with York stone. Similar houses have extended at the rear and a new owner may wish to consider this potential as part of a broader scheme.
Carlyle Square was laid out after Kings Road became public in 1830. It was subsequently closed off
from Kings Road, for all but pedestrians, making it uniquely secluded among Chelsea’s garden
squares.
The square has been home to many notable residents, attracted by the elegant architecture,
beautifully maintained communal gardens, and the convenient yet secluded situation.
